Grand Harmony is a chinese restaurant in Utica, New York. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Utica; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ10:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Grand Harmony at (315) 733-6688; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Walking in the place felt dead and erie once the door closed behind me. The server was not very interactive. More worried bout sitting on there phone. But. My biggest issue was my order the peking duck was not worth it. Small portion was over cooked, dark, hard and chewy just on some cheap lettuce. Looked nothing like the picture where you see a whole duck and looks golden and crispy and the pieces are thick and juicy. Makes think I was served something else. First and last time

This is your typical Chinese take out place. Youre in, you pay, you take your food an go. The staff barely talk to you and the ambiance is mediocre . But the food...The food is really good. Their ribs are my favorite Chinese ribs in the Utica/Rome/Herkimer area and Ive tried alot of other places. The price used to be amazing, but they've raised the cost, not too recently. Even with the extra cost, I think the food is worth it.

I am one not to complain and I order from here weekly sometimes several times today I ordered my usual House MEI fun my boyfriend went into pay up and gave the lady two 20βs because we ordered two orders of them. She gave him back four dollars so he came out with food and said to me the prices went up theyβre $18 apiece. I said absolutely not so we went back inside and sheβs arguing with him that she gave him A $10 bill and four ones he literally came out with four ones she said why did he go out to the car and then come back in? And I told her because I told them they werenβt $18 apiece. They were nine dollars apiece and she continued to argue saying she gave him $10 and four ones well guess what keep your $10 and you no longer will have my business so at the end of the day you lose I lost $10 you lost a weekly if not more customer like weβre gonna argue over $10 if she gave it to us smh!!! So yeah, we paid $36 for two orders of house MEI fun!!!! And when they count their register And see that theyβre $10 over an apology would be nice ,

Ordered pork fried rice-delicious,fried dumpling-got cooked frozen potstickers not good, won ton soup- tasteless meat wrapped in what was equivalent to a lasagna noodle, very miserable woman who took my order, to explain it best= gave them a 2 star rating only because the bottled water, orange soda and rice were good. VOID if you like authentic Asian cuisine. Too many shortcuts.
